From 1 July 2025, eligible households in Victoria will be able to apply for a new state government battery rebate — making it more affordable to add battery storage to your home.
The rebate will support both retrofit batteries (added to existing solar systems) and new solar + battery installs. Early details suggest it will favour homes on time-of-use tariffs and those wanting backup power during outages.
